BTYFC have today, for the 2nd consecutive year in the clubs brief history, attained the Football Associations highest award for grassroots football clubs, Charter Standard – Community Award. This award really does help BTYFC attract new players, new volunteers and gain the club an awful lot of specialist resource from the Football Association. It can only help us up our game even further.
BTYFC are one of about 9-10 clubs in the county with this top level status.
A huge amount of effort has gone into making this happen. My special thanks go to Keith Palmer, Jeff Woolley, Denea Hardy, Irene Epp and to every BTYFC volunteer who has updated their first aid, child safeguarding certifications and made a commitment to their own future footballing development. You have been recognised again at a county level for what you do.
For those volunteers who have an up to date first aid, child safeguarding and have made a formal commitment to furthering their coach education with the clubs football development committee BTYFC are issuing swanky new BTYFC Umbro coaching kit. I will be in contact with those volunteers who have met this criteria after our next monthly meeting on 16th January.
Thanks again to everyone involved you are making a massive difference to the young people in and around Bingham.
Pete Griffths
BTYFC Chairman
