Bingham Town Youth FC
Why Get Involved in Bingham Town Youth FC?
Bingham Town Youth FC was founded around 1993, we have expanded so much that we now have 320 youngsters who play league football weekly. Whatever role you are able to take up, whether it be a couple of hours a year, or a couple of hours a week, you time is hugely appreciated by the young children you directly affect. By providing football, the club is demonstrating the benefits of regular exercise, team work, coordination, personal confidence, commitment, dedication, responsibility and many more essential skills to a good healthy lifestyle. The volunteers benefit by being able to see the rewards by the massive change in the children and the immediate impact you have. The club is not just about football, like all great sports, there is a great social side as you will get to know a huge number of other people in Bingham, through your team and other volunteers and will become well respected within the local community.
Bingham Town Youth FC will support training requirements providing you are willing to give up the time. It may be worth talking to you employer as many employers give additional benefits to those offering to volunteer in the community.
U7s Managers
Manager/organiser required to undertake the role of matches, the under 7s are currently being trained by Tony, we need a Manager for Sundays to select the team to play and to organise matches. The U7s play only friendly games within the Grantham League and this gives them a good start for the U8s. Get in touch if you are interested.
U7 Girls Managers
Probably the most rewarding role, taking a small group of girls from no football experience and building their awareness and confidence with a ball. No great knowledge of football is required, this opportunity is to install the basic techniques of football into the minds of this great bunch of kids. You will be amazed to see the rapid progress which will be a reward in itself for the time volunteered. Their will be loads of support to hand, as training will be run at the same time as the Under 8 and Under 9 Girl’s teams. The Under 9 coach will be more than happy to offer coaching aids and ideas to help you along. Your time commitments will be one hour per week, 5:30-6:30pm on Tuesdays (term time only). This role would suit shared responsibility, with the right volunteers only requiring you to help on alternate Tuesdays or however suits those accepting the role.
U8 Girls Managers
The majority of girls in this team have been attending training for nearly one year. The Under 8 Girl’s manager will take the group from training to being capable of playing matches. This will be building on their current basic individual skills working on passing and providing an understanding that working as a team is more important the dribbling round everybody and scoring a goal. Sounds daunting, but honestly isn’t that bad. This is a great bunch of girls with a huge amount of ability, desperate to set foot on the pitch and play some matches. Your time commitments will be one hour on a Tuesday, 5:30-6:30pm (term time only) with 10-12 matches on Sunday mornings between September and March. This role will work to its best with two or three volunteers sharing the responsibility (therefore reducing the time commitment). The reward will be the dedication you see the team putting into the game and the smiles as they walk off the pitch, regardless of result. Again, you will be well supported by the other team managers training at the same time who are willing to advise on training tips and help with matches when available.
If you have anything to offer, a special skill, a few hours per week/month/year, or you can organise a fund raising event, let us know, there just maybe that role within the club you will be perfectly suited for. We pride ourselves on giving as much support as possible to those interested, and if you have read this far on this page, you ARE interested. So get in touch. Thank you.
