Jamie Duncan scored four goals for the Under 15s Red, a close game saw the Red beat Bulwell Rangers 5-4, Jake Sharman scoring Bingham's other goal

Bingham U10 Girls got off to a great start and a good passing move between the forward line of Katie Rider and Claire Snowden  resulted in Claire Snowden slotting the ball home and Bingham taking the lead in a match for the first time in quite a while. Bingham continued to hold the ball up well with excellent movement and passing from defence by Molly Lowe  & Lauren Banks.  Katy Walker & Emily Hall held the midfield line well, as did Heather Higgs and Eloise Evans, when they came on. Holly Wilson was hardly troubled in goal, but made one or two  excellent saves, when required. Towards the end of the half, Castle Donnington launched several determined attempts to equalise. This they finally did, when despite Hollie Wilson making a great save and having the ball in her hands, the Castle Donnington forward kicked the ball and, as our players thought it was a free kick, was able to score.  Katie Rider made several telling runs and passes but we couldn't convert them into goals, despite everyone's best efforts. There was one superb passing move that involved a least 4 passes that nearly resulted in a goal.  Half time Score 1-1

The second half commenced with Hollie Wilson & Katie Rider swapping positions. Hollie Wilson  was straight into the thick of the match, making good runs/passes and tackling back. Molly Lowe played higher up the pitch in the second half and was ably covered by Heather Higgs (who made one or two great tackles). Bingham started using more of the pitch in the second half, and it was a pleasure to see everyone trying to complete passes.  Both Lauren Banks and Mollie Lowe made several telling runs into space with good passes at the end of them. This was in addition to their usual defensive duties. It was great to see Katy Walker & Emily Hall tackling back and also completing several passes. As the half progressed we began to take control of the game and Eloise Evans came on and provided a 'killer' pass to Claire Snowden who scored the winning goal. Just before the end a Castle Donnington forward broke free and came bearing down on Katie Rider one on one. All the months of practice from Kerry & Darren Heyes paid off. She raced off her line (narrowing the angle), stayed on her feet to the last possible moment and smothered the ball, just as the Castle Donnington player 'pulled the trigger'. After having played very well in our last two league games, but just losing them by the odd goal, it was great to return to winning ways.  I thought the whole team raised their game by another gear today; it just shows you what a difference being able to play matches regularly makes - well done everyone. Player of the Match Katie Rider Final Score. Bingham 2 Castle Donnington 1

The Under 16s lost in a close game to Ryedale at Butt Field, Chris Bowles and Ben Cree scoring the Bingham goals in the 3-2 loss.

The Under 10 Blues welcomed an unbeaten Great Ponton side to Butt Field for a real test to their recent upturn in form. Great Ponton have scored over 100 goals this season so far and it soon became apparent why as they opened the scoring after 4m with a strong run and excellent long range shot from their striker that gave Sam Hand no chance. The boys had barely had a chance to settle when a second superb strike from a tight angle by the same player doubled the visitors’ lead on 6m. The boys were rocked by the early double blow but gradually began to assert an influence on the game. As the half progressed there were more glimpses of intelligent passing play with Tommy Lloyd playing in Alex Hewitt for a run on goal and shot followed by a link up between Tommy and Jaden Bacon that resulted in a Bingham corner after 20m. As the corner came in Raffe Kenwood nearly forced the ball at the near post only to be denied by the keeper. After 22m Jake Blackmore’s excellent tackle and pass to Tommy Lloyd led to another corner which itself led to a snapshot from Rhys Woollacott from the edge of the box that could easily have found the net. However, the closest Bingham came to a goal in the first half was on the stroke of halftime as more interplay between Tommy and Rhys enabled Tommy to spot Celli Tinnirello’s surging run into the area for a chance which he almost converted. Half Time Bingham  0  -  2  Great Ponton

The second half saw Bingham’s defensive pairing of Josh Peters and Jake Blackmore excel themselves in handling the potent and talented Great Ponton attack. With Jake using his pace to cover the whole width of the pitch and Josh clearing up behind the game moved swiftly back and forward. Alex Hewitt’s lightning speed on the right wing was often the outlet for the Blues and his run from a clever pass by Jaden Bacon after 33m saw Bingham again forcing a corner. A long punt downfield from Sam Hand a minute later gave Tommy Lloyd a run in on goal which resulted in another corner but Bingham were unable to convert any chances. Great Ponton were always looking sharp and as Bingham’s confidence dipped their striker completed his hat trick on 39m after pouncing on a Bingham goal kick. The extra goal kick-started an improvement in the Blues and they pushed forward in search of a consolation goal. With time nearly up they deservedly found the net with a well worked goal as another Alex Hewitt run down the right saw the Bingham players queuing up at the far post and his low cross was turned in by Jaden Bacon. Jake Blackmore’s defensive work could easily have earned him MoM but the visitors awarded this to Sam Hand in recognition of yet another solid catching and shot stopping display between the sticks.
