Butt Field
"Our vision for the future"
As many are aware, Bingham Town Youth Football Club, along
with Bingham Town FC, Bingham Cricket Club and Bingham Town Council are heavily
involved in improving football and cricket facilities at Butt Field.
Approximately 12 months ago, Bingham Town Council secure further land at Butt
Field to develop for Football / Cricket in the local community. With this
success on the land, Bingham
Town Youth FC researched the feasibility of improvements or renewal of the
Pavilion. With much debate, planning and consultation with Architects and other
professional bodies, plans for a new pavilion are now set and an application for
grants lodged with the Football Foundation.
The Butt Field project will include a further 3 full size
pitches (Although minimum sizes for youth football) a new purpose built pavilion
and car parking at Butt Field with access from Moorbridge Industrial Estate.
Thus alleviating parking an Station Street and St Mary's Road.
If successful with the grants from the Football Foundation, the Butt Field project will be up and running for the beginning of the 2008/09 season.
